Panathenian Stadium (Kalimarmaro)
We continue with the Panathenian Stadium or the well known Kalimarmaro which was built in the 6th century and after its renovation in the 19th century it hosted the opening and the closing olympic ceremonies of the first modern Olympics in 1896. Furthermore it is the only stadium in the world that is made entirely from marble.

Our next stop is the Parliament building and the Tomb of the Unkown Soldier as well as the Constitution Square. With the the lights on, the buildings of Athens and especially the Parliament building seem more spectacular and flashy. So, there you will have the chance to admire the “Tomb of the Unknown soldier”. Finally, the famous Evzones who are the Presidential guards. Maybe you will have a chance to see the interesting change of guards.

The Zappeion is a historic neoclassical building located in the heart of Athens, Greece, near the National Gardens. It was built in the late 19th century and played an important role in the first modern Olympic Games. The building is known for its elegant architecture, featuring Corinthian columns and a large central courtyard. Today, the Zappeion is used for exhibitions, conferences, and cultural events. It remains a symbol of Greece’s connection between ancient heritage and modern history.
